What is RSS?

RSS is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines, and podcasts. An RSS document (a "feed") contains a summary of content from an associated web site. When viewed with a regular web browser, an RSS feed may look like nonsense. When added to you favorite web portal or feed reader, you will get notified any time we add new information or Podcasts to the web site.

If you use Goggle, Yahoo, or any other web portal that regularly serves up news, add one or both of our RSS feeds via your control panel. If you use Firefox to brows the web, simply click on the RSS link, and it will become a "Live Bookmark". Firefox Live Bookmarks work like any other Bookmark or Favorite, except that they change as site content changes. There are also stand alone feed reader applications and a reader built in to the some email applications. These usually require feeds to be added via a control panel. They can be obtained at little or no cost.

Firefox (recommended) - Web browser with feed reader. Very easy to use with a very secure web browser. Works on multiple operating systems.

Thunderbird - Mail reader with RSS feed reader. Works on multiple operating systems.

Feedreader - Stand alone for Windows only.

Attensa - Stand alone for Mac only .

Apple Mail - Mail client with RSS reader. Mac only.

Akregator - Stand alone for geeks only . (Linux)
